The RYA Day Skipper Motor course is conducted on board one of our motorboats and will teach you navigation and pilotage, boat handling, seamanship and safety.

The aim of the course is learning to skipper a yacht for a short passage and each participant will have the chance to plan a passage during the five day course with your instructor on hand to give advice and encouragement and ensure your safety.

Prerequisites and pre-course experience - Before joining the course, participants are required to have prior experience, such as completing the RYA Day Skipper Theory course (or equivalent knowledge) and basic navigation and helmsmanship skills. along with a minimum of 2 days experience on a motor cruiser is required.
